Pam Holland

Posted: 15 April 2010 at 7:15 a.m.
We are quite excited that Pam Holland will be coming to teach at our School of Theadology May 3-5, 2010. This session is sold out, but other upcoming sessions are still available. (See our web site)
Pam hails from Australia and is a quilter, designer, author, photographer, lecturer, judge, cinematographer and illustrator. ( Quick, take a breath!)

Pam will be teaching a two-day collage class. The subjects are beetles, bugs, insects, fish and butterflies. But, once you have learned this method you can even use it for more intricate projects such as landscapes and portraits.
Pam is the author of "The 1776 Quilt", which reproduces a story-quilt thought to be originally made by Sorbian soldiers on the battlefield as Prussian troops marched into Bohemia.
When 1776 won Best of Show at four major U.S. quilt shows, the notoriety catapulted Pam into international fame. Pam is known for "Taking quilting just one step further".
When asked to share her interests, Pam wrote, "designing and teaching.... in no particular order. I get to travel the world, teach and share my knowledge with others. What a treat. Writing, photography, quilting."
