Ricci's Sewing Room
Posted: 16 April 2010 at 1 a.m.
As a quilter, I love to look at sewing rooms. Seeing how others organize their work places is true inspiration.
Recently I have spent some time working with Ricci, a member of our office staff.

Ricci's design wall was the model for our School of Threadology walls (see
11/13/09 post)

Behind each cupboard door are fabrics folded and stored according to color.

Some of the bins contain a collection from a favorite fabric designer.

And what is this I spy upon the wall?

A dumb waiter that goes directly from the garage below to the sewing room on the second floor.
(This means Ricci can transport her fabric from the trunk of her car straight to her sewing room without her husband seeing the purchases. Let's hope he doesn't read this blog.)

Even better are the "Superior Threads drawers."

Each marked for a specific thread.
Makes Mother Superior proud.
