    Yes, the directions in the pattern tell you how I stitched to make the items in the pattern. I did do cross-hatching. It really does look like I spent hours smocking, doesn't it? Yet I made the entire ensemble in a weekend! We've made this set with satin and silk and both are gorgeous. Next I'd like to try a soft lightweight cotton. Happy stitching! Annie

    So is the stitching that she did in the directions?? I was curious if the stitching was done in crosshatching??
