"Our instructions for the challenge block were to use half of the fabric they provided, use sky blue for the background and you must have a flower as its main focus.
I wanted my borders to look like leaves. The dark green fabric that I selected has leaves in a lighter green on the fabric. I used texture magic to create the borders." she said.

Virginia is a Star Member of The Quilt Show, and even though she is a beginning quilter, she has sewn, smocked and embroidered for years.
"I have been married to my husband, Bill, for 47 years and we have 3 grown children and 6 grand sons. No girls for a women who made French Hand Sewn and Smocked dresses at a small business that we called The Perry Patch.
Professionally,I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner."
