Wall of Thread

Posted: 30 August 2010 at 7:11 a.m.
Gail Otke loves Superior Threads.
Recently she shared with us pictures of her wall of thread.

The "Lava" section.
Gail's thread racks are made from peg board painted white and trimmed in a frame.
The 4" pegs are cut from dowels.
The large rack holds Lava, Poly Quilter and King Tut.

The smaller rack holds Rainbows and Highlights.
Gail recently retired in June and now plans to quilt full time.
We can see she has the right thread to get started.

We asked Gail to share a little bit more about herself:
"Attached is a photo of my first quilt I made at age 6 , and I have been sewing ever since. (you can make a lot of stuff in 49 years!)
I sewed on a treadle until 15 years ago, but now I have the state of the art everything.
I have been using Superior threads since I bought my APQS machine."
*Do you have a wall of Superior Threads you would like to share with us? We would love to see your pictures, too!

Hi Bridget, We appreciate your Superior Thread collection! We are very excited about the new arrival of Kimona Silk. And we would love to see your thread wall (or drawer) pictures also.

I had to laugh when I saw that because I am a total thread hoarder! I have to have every color of every type and probably have spent more on thread the past 5 years than on fabric! Not really, but I do buy a LOT of thread. Now I just started my Kimono Silk collection...I love it when Superior comes out with something new! Oh yea...gotta collect all the new Brytes even though I have all of the "old" Brytes! My husband thinks I need a "threadaholics" meeting! Wouldn't do any good! Thanks for sharing your collection and I'd love to see what others have going on with their thread collections too.

That doll in red sure looks familiar----mine is an American Character doll----I've had her over 60 years. Mine is also in Red.
