Our friend, Sunni, wrote up a great article on our Superior Metallic threads. Please take the time to view her post and look at her detailed photographs!
Snippet from her blog-
"Have you ever used metallic thread?
I'm sure if you have, you have heard a few wives tales about it. "Stick it in the freezer", "sew with your spool several feet away from you", or "flip your spool upside-down" are a few that you may be familiar with.
The metallic thread I used from a big box store broke at the drop of a hat. It was such a pain that I just quit using it! I was completely astounded that people quilted with it! I wanted to try it, but I knew I couldn't do it.
So I chalked it up to my machine. "My machine just doesn't like that thread" or "My machine is finicky".
How about "my machine is perfectly fine (it is a Brother, ya know!) and the thread I was using was awful?!" View Sunni's Blog here.

Every once in a while we focus on a non thread-related post. Today's post warrants that. We have some talented staff here at Superior Threads! Kyle, who handles the majority of the outbound shipments enjoys music and videography. Recently, he and a group of friends recorded a "cover version" of a popular song called "It Will Rain" by Bruno Mars and filmed a video for it. If you would like to see the video, please click on the link below.
And when you receive your wonderful thread package from Superior Threads, remember that Kyle was the one who applied that shipping label to the box :)

The system was installed yesterday and it has already paid off. This morning, we received a report showing there was activity in our building late last night. Our staff reviewed the video and found we had indeed had an intruder! It was the scariest, most fearsome bird we had ever seen! Well, maybe not. The poor, little bird must have flown in sometime yesterday while our shipping doors were open.
A specialized team of bird catchers (Superior staff) made attempts to guide the bird through our warehouse by trotting down the aisles, waving their hands like a 70’s-style disco. As each plan failed, we put our belief in kaizen (continuous improvement) to the test. Our attempts were nearly successful and then the bird would fly all the way across the building again and we’d start at square one. Each attempt added new ideas and tactics.
Our final, successful attempt required the effort of about 6 people. One person operated the lights for the warehouse, while others waved brooms to direct the bird towards the ...
