Thread is meant for more!

Posted: 20 August 2012 at 6 a.m.

We seem to be best known for our Quilting & Embroidery threads however, we are involved in many other segments of the thread world.  Some are well-known such as the Apparel & Upholstery industry and some applications fly under the radar (no pun intended!) such as Fly Tying.  We have many quilter’s who are fisherman and enjoy tying their own flies.  Our most common threads used for tying flies are The Bottom Line, Kimono Silk, Tire #50 Silk and Glitter.

Just like quilting, tying flies takes skill and patience.  Precision knots and wraps are as meticulous as piecing straight lines and having correct tension.

Here are a few examples of flies which have been tied with Superior Threads and remember, fish know quality!  (we don't guarantee meeting quota when fishing with flies tied with Superior Threads, however, we do guarantee to consider you a very talented person for tying your own flies!)
