Cherrie Hampton's LED Quilt

Our friend, Cherrie, has recently completed a quilt with LED accents. Here's the history on why she made this particular quilt.

Cherrie's Quilt 'Water4'

"This is an photo of an art quilt that I made for an auction of a ministry I support that teaches locals of other countries, how to drill water wells.  The ministry is named Water 4.  This quilt was inspired by a photo of people anxiously pushing to touch the first streams of cool, clean water. I used light blue, dark blue, and diamond leds with two sparklers to create a random flash.  The quilt is hand painted on cotton sateen and placed on a hand dyed background.  It is surrounded by a burlap border.

The water is silk and wool roving captured under net, with a little Angelina added for glimmer.  The name of the quilt is Water 4 the World and sold for $1,700.00.  Thanks for such a great creative product.  I have another idea that will use leds again in a future art quilt."

A fun and creative idea using LEDs and Conductive thread! Do you have any quilts where you can incorporate these fun tools?
