Superior Spotlight: Jeannette O.

Posted: 25 March 2014 at 6 a.m.

Jeannette was challenged to make a queen size Baltimore quilt for each of her three daughters.  She was able to complete the applique over a period of four years and started to hand quilt one quilt which took two years.  (That’s long enough to need a break!)

Jeannette was able to finish the last of the three quilts recently and we are proud to show off her beautiful, completed project!

Jeannette O Baltimore Quilt

This gallery-worthy, timeless quilt is hand appliqued, hand embroidered, and hand beaded.  Jeannette completed her classic quilt with So Fine! #50 and SuperBOBs in the bobbin. This will definitely be a treasured heirloom.

Have you made a quilt by hand like this before?

Just gorgeous! I made a Baltimore style for mom and dads 50th. I'm just floored at the thought of making three! I must admit I'm hunting for my next applique by hand bed quilt for myself now. They are likened to great long books...exciting to finish...but sad to let go!

That is a beautiful quilt. Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The hours spent on the quilt are a labor of love.
