Q: Why was I unable to make the invisible thread work on my Viking mega quilter as a top thread? Even though I loosened the top thread tension a great deal, it still broke.A: The Mega Quilter is a home machine attached to a frame system. These machines unwind spools over the end of the spool as the spool is positioned on a vertical pin. This does not work well with sensitive threads. MonoPoly (and other spools) should unwind straight from the side of the spool, with the spool rotating. Position the spool so the thread does not unwind over the end of the spool.
