Quilting with King Tut

King Tut Extra-long Staple Egyptian-grown Cotton Quilting Thread

Q: I have a Bernina 440 and when I quilt with the King Tut thread it
skips way too many stitches to even use. Do you have any suggestions on
needle size, bobbin thread weight, or speed. Anything would be helpful
as I love the colors on the king tut variegated spool and would like to
use it.

A: That should not be happening. Here are some things to check:
1. Use a Topstitch #90/14 needle
2. Loosen the top tension all the way down to 1.5 to 2.0
3. Any bobbin thread should be fine. We use either MasterPiece (cotton)
or The Bottom Line (poly).
