topstitch needle diagramIs it true that I can't use Superior's Needles for quilting on Batiks?

Q. I have read that one should use a non-titanium needle when quilting Batiks because the fabric will bend the needle.

A. Titanium-coated needles are no stronger than regular needles. The outer coating of titanium nitride is an ultra-thin ceramic coating that resists wear and tear. It does not affect the overall strength. It is perfectly fine to use these needles with batiks. We do everyday.
