For Upholstery, bonded nylon or bonded polyester are the preferred threads.  Bonded threads are coated with an agent during processing which gives added strength and reduces friction at the needle for smoother stitches.  Both our bonded nylon and Solar Guard thread have a final Z twist.

Superior's Bonded Nylon is Nylon 6,6 (sometimes referred to as Nylon 66).  Nylon 6,6 is stronger and has a higher heat tolerance than regular nylon.
