For midarm and longarm machines. Place the bobbin into the bobbin case and pull the thread through the tension spring in accordance to your machine’s instructions. Holding the bobbin in place, turn over and place the bobbin case into the gauge so the protruding point on the bobbin case snaps into the guides at the 12:00 position. The thread should leave the bobbin case at the 6:00 position.
Thread through the first pulley (closest to the bobbin), then pull
thread across the top of the second pulley counter-clockwise and down
under the hook.
Steadily pull the thread straight out to the left to find the tension number.
To
adjust the tension, leave the bobbin case in the gauge and turn the
larger screw on the bobbin case (at the 4:00 position). Left to
loosen, right to tighten. One adjustment is about a 1/4 turn (or about
a 15 minute movement on a clock).
To remove the bobbin case, lift up on the latch on top of the case.
