"For months now (2 years) I have been trying to use metallic thread successfully on my Bernina 830 Series machine – no success.  Yesterday I bought your metallic thread at the Quilt Show in Hershey PA and tried it last night.  The stitches were perfect!  It was as if I were sewing regular polyester.  Needless to say I was stunned.  So today I am putting in an order for more thread colors and will now be successful sewing metallics.  Thank you so much!" s.s.

 " There are two things that I swore years ago that I would avoid if at all possible: using metallic thread on a machine and stitching with metallic thread by hand. Well, when I received your metallic thread, I decided to give it a try. What did I have to lose, other than a lot of my hair? I used it to quilt a jacket. I did not even have a broken thread or any problems at all with the thread. I loved it so much that I bought your large cone of it. Oh, yes, the jacket took first place in our state fair that year.  " I just wanted to let you know that after 20 years of quilting and frustration because I wanted to use metallic threads and just couldn't do it with out breaking and all kinds of messy threads on the back, even with the right needles I could never get it right. I recently bought several spools of Superior Metallic after Libby's glowing comments and finally tried some for some Christmas projects. IT WAS WONDEFUL! I could not believe it. I went running in to show my hubby who couldn't understand my excitement but Bless his heart he tried to be excited with me. I can hardly wait to try some more.  " I swore off metallics years ago. Then I received a sample of Superiors Gold Metallic with my longarm machine and decided to try it on a practice piece. It was wonderful. No problems at all.  " Yesterday, I embroidered all day. The designs was a 54" linen table runner. I used my 90/14 topstitch needle. The running time on the designs exceeded 130 minutes. I had multiple thread breaks with another brand of thread. However, I had not a single thread break with the Superior Metallic threads that I substituted in two places. Even though they were going into heavy concentrations of thread, they just ran and ran and ran. I just don't understand people who think metallic threads are difficult to use. " ~ s.b.

 " I have just finished using the metallic thread that I bought. I heavily quilted with the multi color metallic, copper metallic, and used the Glitter (blue and pink) all with the same multi color metallic thread in the bobbin.  " I had given up on metallic threads long ago. I quit trying because I had so much trouble with thread breaking and I was just substituting gray for silver, rust for copper, yellow for gold, etc. Then I read something about Superior Metallics so I decided to try them. I have just stitched out the Mardi Gras Jester from EmbLibrary.com - and it is exquisite!!! When I started the Metallics, I held my breath and didn't leave my Bernina for a minute. I've stitched out Mary Englebreit's Hello Santa on Royal Blue Velveteen; Santa and the Toys (Bernina used in Advertising Campaign- Black decorated robe) on Red Velveteen; the Candy Cane on red velveteen; the Quilt Square with the Smiling Snowman-enlarged on Black sparkle cotton; the Believe Santa on Spruce Green Velveteen. I used from 50% to 85 % of the Superior metallics in stitching these designs - ME designs take from 30K to 49K stitches with metallic stitching on metallic! This thread took the stitching beautifully and give a wonderfully glowing look to ME's work! Making gift bags, door knockers, door pillows, gift ornaments for the holidays. If working with metallics has been a horror for you, then don't give up before you've tried the Superior Threads. Several embroiderers have talked about Superior before but working with this thread has exceeded all expectations. " ~ l.g.

" I finally had time to use the silver metallic I bought. Used a lacy, cathedral window type design on 2 layers of water soluble stabilizer(no fabric), held my breath for 27 minutes of sewing; not one breakage and the design was perfect.  " I just finished some needlelace using the gold metallic. It truly does not break during the stitching. I put it in the bobbin as well as the top since it is seen on both sides and it worked so well I am still amazed.  " I just thought that I would share a pretty valuable lesson (for me) I have learned about sewing with metallic thread. The quality of the metallic thread and how it is made makes all the difference in the world about how it sews. Your thread is just gorgeous. When I stitched out my design with his thread, I was so amazed. I used the Glitter - did NOT use any special needle -- just my trusty organ needle used for almost all stitching. It stitched the entire time with no tangles, and NO thread breaks. I have never had that kind of results with any metallic thread although some brands are definitely more user friendly than others.  " Here's my tip to everyone: Go take a look Superior Threads. This is wonderful thread. Their metallic thread was totally "to die for. But take a really close look at the hologram thread (I believe it's called Glitter).This thread is so soft and supple when sewn that you can't believe that you can get that much glitz from such a soft thread.
