Q: With the Try Me Specials, can I pick the colors I want?
A: No. You choose the thread type, we choose the colors. They are prepacked and offered at a discount to make it affordable to try new threads. Most likely you will receive some bright and contrasting colors as Try Me Specials. The reason is so the thread is very visible as you try it for the first time. We want you to see exactly how a particular thread will sew, how the tension looks, and how it will appear in your project. If we were to send only soft, blending colors, it would be more difficult to judge the thread.

Q: I bought your Quilting Sample Pack and am sorry I did instead of just buying specific things.  What was sent was most definitely in looking at the colors ones that are not selling.  The poly quilter stood out first - purple, the Masterpiece - purple, the bobbin - magenta.  Why would you not send some neutral colors in the bobbin at least to give me a chance to try that type of product?
A: When we choose colors for the Sampler Sets, we purposefully choose bright colors for a reason.  When you are using a new thread, a bright color makes it very easy to see the stitching.  This is very important when deciding if you like the thread or not.  Same with the bobbin thread.  A neutral bobbin thread will blend and it is very difficult to determine if the stitch is perfect.  By using a bright color bobbin thread, you will know immediately how it runs in your machine.  Because these are Sampler Set specials, we want to make sure our customers are happy with the thread type before they order other colors at regular price.
