King Tut quilting thread is a #40/3 extra-long staple Egyptian-grown cotton. King Tut quilting thread has very low lint and is extra strong. Each spool has 500 yards. King Tut quilting thread is also available on 2,000 yard cones .

For home machines, we recommend using a Superior Topstitch #90/14 needle and setting your tension around a 3.0 or 4.0. 

For longarm machines, we recommend using King Tut quilting thread with a #18 or #19 (MR 4.0 or 4.5) needle . If you use our Towa Bobbin Gauge and our Superior Top Tension Gauge , please refer to our Top and Bobbin Thread Tension Guides .

King Tut quilting thread works great with MasterPiece , So Fine #50 , or Bottom Line in the bobbin.
