40% More Thread

Our prewound bobbins are wound on highly technical machines which ensure an even, precise wind. Because of this special process, we are able to put 40-50% more thread content on our Superior Prewounds vs. a self-wound bobbin. For example, our SuperBOBs have 118 yds. of our 60 wt. Bottom Line polyester thread per bobbin. When wound on a standard home machine, you are able to wind about 70 yards of Bottom Line per bobbin.

How long do Superior prewounds last?

Imagine spending more time at your machine actually sewing, piecing, quilting, and embroidering. Superior's prewounds save you time and help achieve a better stitch balance. You will enjoy fewer bobbin changes while increasing sewing productivity due to fewer interruptions. Our prewounds have much more thread content vs. a self-wound bobbin and are evenly wound, for a smoother stitch.
If you use 2,000 yds. of thread per month (some use a lot more, some use less) with a self-wound bobbin, you will change your bobbin over 28 times. With a Superior prewound, you will only need to change your bobbin 17 times. This saves you from experiencing 11 interruptions in the addition to the time it takes to self-wind 28 bobbins. What will you do with all this extra time? You have saved enough time to get your nails done, go on a walk, and try out that new restaurant you've been wanting to try. Not only has your sewing and quilting productivity increased, but you have freed up time to spend on new and exciting projects.

M-style Bobbins

M-style Bobbins are roughly the same diameter as a Quarter. These bobbins fit most longarm quilting machines and contain a lot of thread.

Made with The Bottom Line thread, SuperBOBs is an excellent prewound bobbin for quilting. Available in 46 colors.

Excellent for Quilting. Available in 12 colors.

Excellent for Quilting. Available in 3 colors.

Which prewounds should I use?

No longer must we use a white prewound bobbin for every project. We now have options.
