Posted: 24 September 2010 at 5:04 a.m.
Ron Olson is keeping us up to date as he works towards his goal of quilting 1,000 quilts for the Quilts Of Valor Project.
Quilt #970 Slashed Squares
Pieced by Meredith von dem Bussche of Corona, California
To quilt the quilt, Ron used the design Arrowheads by Lisa Thiessen

Quilt #971 Slashed Squares
Pieced by Meredith von dem Bussche
Quilted pattern: Amanda's Garden by Donna Rienart

Ron includes an American symbol in each of his quilts.
If you look closely on the back of #971 you can see a red Liberty Bell.
Thank you Ron and Meredith for donating your time and talents towards such a worthy cause!

Your quilting friends from Michigan are very proud of you. We remember the Quilts of Valor you quilted before moving out west. I can see you are not wasting any time in your retirement. All I can say is WOW, you've done quite a job! Keep it up. Thank you for providing some joy in the lives of our servicemen.

Keep up the great work Ron. You should be very proud of all the wonderful longarm quilting you do for Quilts of Valor. The World is a better place with you in it. Thank you...
